Dunyakan
N' Faly Kouyaté, artist of Guinea Conakry comes from one of the most famous families of griots of Guinea: the Konkoba Kouyaté family. Singer, songwriter, player of Kora and balafon, he is installed in Brussels for 15 years and enjoys an international reputation, having milled on the biggest festivals, with notably the famous group Afro-Celt Sound System of Peter Gabriel.
In 1996, it melts its own group " Dunyakan " which means « the voice of the world », in that the traditional music of Guinea, but also influence of Africain, latin south music, blues, more urban music, is blended, forming an only Sound in the music of the World .
Compositions of N'faly are imprinted of polyphonic's singing by an unconvincing intensity, of scintillating melodies, of words with messages the whole accompanied by traditional instruments as kora, the djembé, doudoums, the balafon,the guitar Mandingue and Western instruments as the electric base, the drums and the electronic pads. The directory of the group is bearing of strong messages such as the blight of the AIDS, solidarity, the children soldiers, Love, humanity,..
It is a few of all that gives the own name in Dunyakan. The groove is outright African with a bright fusion of sounds!
